In the woods of West Virginia lies a tiny manor. It’s hugged tightly to the trees surrounded it, and it’s filled with the hormones of young men that are struggling. Alienated from their homes for their sex lives, and disowned from their families, they share one common need. The need to be loved, it’s overshadowing, and perhaps even overbearing, but they need it more than the substance that food and water can offer.

The Britin Home for Boys focuses on taking these prime examples of shattered youth and healing them though weekly therapy, and a loving home. Inside of the faculty is a school, a gym, a theatre, a snug cafeteria where all meals are served, and dorms that fit two to a room. Overcrowding has never been an issue for Britin, it seems that more parents nowadays are learning to love their children for who they are, rather than throwing them to the streets.

Britin Home for Boys is an original character based roleplaying group that focuses on quality based writing melding with unique characters with real thought behind them. We welcome only gay male characters for students, although teachers and staff are welcome in all shapes and forms. We take place in the present, although amid a more homophobic culture, wherein Britin is one of the only safe havens for GLBT youth.

Bio/Personality{a min. of two paras}: Ari was born in Los Angeles, CA. He was born to two parents. His mother, who is a school teacher, and his father, who is a record executive for Island Def Jam. Growing up, he was ignored by his father and spent alot of his time with his mother. She spent every waking minute with him, constantly teaching him and enhancing his mind. At the age of 10, he was the brightest kid in his grade. He was on the honor roll, competing in spelling bees, and was high popular. His life changed when his mother was diagnosed with cancer and died a few months later. After turning 13, he started spending time with his father. Against his will, he began to work part-time at the record company.
He began building a friendship with the president of the record label. The friendship began to help his Dad get higher promotions and soon he was in the running for vice president of the company. One day while Ari was alone with the man, he made a move on him and Ari quickly stopped him and reported him to the cops. The company fired his father and he quickly turned his back on Ari. Looking for a place to ship him off, his father stumbled across Britin and decided that the place was good enough. He packed Ari’s stuff and sent him to Britin.

A Minimum of a Two Paragraph Sample: Looking at the plaid suitcase as the laid by the front door, Ari ran a hand through his light brown hair and then let out a huge sigh. It wasn’t the best moment of his life. He had just lost his mother to cancer a few months ago and now he was being shipped off to some boarding school. In a way, he was losing his father too. Though, ever since losing his job, his father hasn’t said two words to him.
As his father’s footsteps hit the stairs, Ari looked up his father. The anger was still written all over his face. How could he still be mad over something that wasn’t even his fault? Yes, the reason he got fired was kind of his fault but still he did the right thing…right?

Antonio has had a very privileged life. All his life he has been given anything and everything he wanted and the top of the line education, always being in private catholic schools. He was always raised in a very religious household and although his parents seemed strict in reality they were not. While growing up his parents care what he did wrong as long as he kept his grades up. However, most of the time he knew not to get caught if he was ever into trouble and he left was. He did whatever he wished to do and had a completely different mind than his fathers. However, his father did have a breaking point…
As Antonio gotten older and began to have strange feelings towards men he realized quickly that he might have been gay. Instead of denying who he was, or feeling guilty about it he accepted the feelings and let them in. He always went by what he felt was right, not what he thought his father and others thought was right. He knew that being gay would send him to hell, but frankly at this point he didn’t even care. Hell, he didn’t even know if God truly existed anymore.
One day a teacher of us caught his interest and he couldn’t stop thinking about him. All the things he wanted to do to his body. He couldn’t help himself. One day he decided to stay after school and try to seduce his Professor. It was very easy. They continued to have an affair until finally one of the Nuns of the school caught them in the act. The teacher lost his job and Antonio got a phone call home telling them what happened. Of course, the school he was seen as “the victim” due to his age and him being a student, but not once he got home. His father gave him a huge wad of money and told him to never come back. He was done.

Zac grew up in a very protected house hold. His father was always working and his mother stayed home being the role of the perfect wife and mother. He always lived a Pleasantville type of life, everything seemed perfect and he got anything he wanted. However, when his father was home he deal with strict behavior about his grades and behavior. Zac had a very creative mind and his head was always in the clouds and it always drove his father up the wall. He needed to take life seriously and be a real man. However, he had to deal with these discussions at an early age. From a very early age he had been in Catholic schools. His father always pushed him to get amazing grades and pushed him into sports. However, he told him to not get involved with girls, that they were a “distraction”. He was told to not get involved with them until he was much older and never gave his son “the talk”. However, Zac was not upset with it considering he never was interested in girls. One day he came home to find his parents fighting due to another one of his father’s affairs. It was so horrible his mother for the firs time ever tried to stand up to herself by leaving, but it resulted in his father beating her. When he tried to defend his mother, his father literally threw him out as he told him to never come back ever again. Zac left and ran off to West Virginia. He never plans on going back.

Bio/Personality{a min. of two paras}:

Bruce is an orphan who lived in a lot of orphanages in his lifetime. However, as a young teenager he ran away from the place he was staying and eventually ran into an older man who introduced him to a whole new world. He started dating this man and eventually Bruce eventually ended up doing porn for a living even though he was technically underage at the time.

At first, it seemed fun, but eventually Bruce started to see a whole new side to the industry, felt mistreated, and didn’t like how his boyfriend and “manager” was treating him. Eventually, he left his boyfriend and doing porn even though it felt as if it was the only way to survive.

He found Britin Home for Boys and found love there with Jason, however eventually his past caught up with him and called him one evening making him remember his past. Of course, Jason knew about Bruce and what he used to do and seemed fine with it, but Bruce always had insecurities in thinking he wasn’t good enough for Jason. So Bruce left suddenly, leaving everything behind literally, not only Jason, but all his things.

However, he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about Jason, wonders how he’s doing, and still remembers of how he never finished high school. So, now Bruce is back and hopefully this time he’ll stay.

Bio/Personality{a min. of two paras}:

Something has always stood in the way of Bryson Klier being society’s idea of “normal.” Most people love going out with friends, partying it up, and blowing off homework until their average is, well.. below-average. Though most people love doing these things, Bryson is not most people and he’s silently proud of that.

Most of his time is spent reading about places that don’t exist, but should and people that are a lot more adventurous than him. Reading has always been a favorite pas-time for Bryson and if a novel isn’t in hand, a pen and paper usually are. Due to the amount of books he’s read, his expectations of “love” are quite different than most and he believes that he is what some call a “hopeless romantic.” Guys are all that have ever attracted Bryson and he came out as gay at a younger age than most. His family was accepting, but his peers weren’t so kind. Bryson’s creativity subsided in response to the bullies and in return, his parents took matters into their own hands.

Feeling as if Bryson had too much to offer, his parents refused to sit back and let him and his beautiful mind be forced into silence. When his parents heard about Britin Home for Boys, they sent Bryson straight away in hopes that this would be the accepting and supportive environment he deserves.

Bryson watched as his mother hurried around the car, picking up suitcase after suitcase and hauling it into the vehicle. Though the window was closed, he could still hear her swearing under her breath like she always did when he or anyone else gave her a hard time. He’d considered giving her a hand, but he didn’t want to leave his home in the first place and this was his silent protest.

There he sat, waiting.. watching. Suddenly, she slammed the door behind the last suitcase and looked up at him through the window. He hugged his knees to his chest in return and exhaled deeply. “Fuck,” he murmured as he stood up slowly. Grabbing a light jacket, he made his way to the door and stopped halfway out the door. He turned around and took one last glance around his room. Posters of beloved bands such as; The Smiths, Cocteau Twins, The Cure, and Bon Iver plastered the walls and he was going to miss them. Biting his lip and trying to shake off the anxiety eating away at him, he shut the door quickly behind him and took to the steps.

At the bottom of the stairs, he didn’t even bother to take a look around because he knew that it would only make what he was feeling worse. Closing the front door behind him, he walked slowly to the car, keeping his eyes on his feet as they stepped forward. Finally reaching the car, he muttered, “This is it,” and with that he hopped into the car and braced himself for whatever was coming his way at the Britin Home for Boys.

Anything Else?: Bryson is both shy and outgoing, but the outgoing side of him is only revealed to those whom he feels comfortable around. He spends a lot of time alone, but due to his romantic personality he longs to be close with someone.

Saul Graves-Knox Biography

Saul Graves-Knox is a natural born leader, a trickster, a lover and a fighter, laden with maddening mischief and a strange, graveling charm. He grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and had to earn respect the hard way, and therefore fully lives by the saying ‘talk the talk, walk the walk’, all while respecting the inevitable, but spiritual, force of karma. He’s much too curious for his own good and questions everything.

Saul’s inner wirings are not wholly unlike a machine’s: efficient, yet mindless. Set as he is in his ways and his arrogance, he’s just as capable of cold-blooded cruelty as he is of unadulterated compassion, and the lightness of his eyes belies the darkness inside his heart. He’s nothing but a boy trying to find meaning in this loveless sort of world, possessing the kind of questionable morals and reckless behavior that puts most at unease.
